College Application Timeline for the Class of 2026

If you're part of the Class of 2026, staying organized throughout your college application journey is essential. From test prep to essays to deadlines, knowing what to do and when can make the process much smoother.

Here’s a timeline to help you stay on track:

Junior Year (Now)

  • Build a balanced college list (reach, match, safety schools)

  • Prep for SAT or ACT (if required)

  • Start brainstorming and outlining your personal statement

Summer Before Senior Year

  • Finalize your college essays

  • Visit campuses or attend virtual tours

  • Ask for recommendation letters early

  • Begin filling out the Common App or UCAS

Fall of Senior Year (August–November)

  • Submit Early Action or Early Decision applications

  • Finalize supplemental essays

  • Confirm all materials (test scores, transcripts, recs) are submitted on time

Winter (December–January)
