Day 1: Meet, Greet, Ask & Take it
Meetup with the counselor and discuss topics such as your dream schools, and intended major, or ask questions about the college application/ admissions process.
The counselor will start providing several insights on how to plan your college admissions journey and what you should prepare.
Day 2: Academics Planning & Standardized Testing
Planning your courses and what classes you should take.
Planning on what exams you should prepare for (including APs, outside-of-school courses, etc.)
Planning on when to take and how to practice for SAT English and Math.
Day 3-5: Strategizing Extracurriculars
Layout your current or plans you have for your extracurricular activities.
Brainstorm what activities you can do that exhibit your strengths, personality, values & interest.
Draw action plans and prepare to execute.
Day 6: College Search & Intro to College Applications
Brief run-down of college applications (Common Application, UC Application).
The counselor will help you build your school list.
This includes:
What’s important to you in terms of academics, campus culture, and financial aid.
How to determine the culture & community of the school and how you will fit in.
What different schools can offer you to best pursue your intended major/interests.
Categorizing your schools (safety, target & reach).
The counselor will provide a template for students to organize their school list.
Planning with the counselor to decide when you should apply, and which schools you should apply to early.
Day 7-10: Intro to College Essays
Brainstorm topics to write about with a template.
Free-write the essay prompts (Common App prompts, UC PIQs, Supplemental Questions).
The counselor will review and provide detailed feedback & insights on your essays.
Grade 12

Compile all essay prompts of the schools you plan to apply.
Day 3-8: College Essays (Personal Statement, Supplemental, Scholarships, Additional Info Essay)
The counselor will provide detailed insights and feedback on your essays (content, grammar, structure, etc.) while proofreading together.
Navigate the essay writing process so that you stand out against the competition.
Ensure that you are submitting applications that highlight your unique qualities.
Day 9: Applying for Financial Aid.
Research each prospective school’s financial aid website and other third-party organizations.
Guide through and help you complete your financial aid application.
Craft and polish your scholarship essays and interview prep.
Day 10: Polishing your whole college application.
Organizing how you present yourself in each section, specifically the extracurricular activity section.
Reviewing your writing for the extracurricular activities section.
Final touch on your essays.
