Tip: Make your 2-D profile into a 3-D avatar.

One thing you would want to go over before submitting your essays is to check whether your essays are acting as if you are having a face to face conversation about yourself with a college admissions officer. Just by explaining your past experiences and accomplishments won’t do much. Just by illustrating your goals and desires to study at their college won’t do much too.

So what should you do?

You need to take the college admissions officers into your head. You need to show them your thought processes.

One way to make this happen is to connect your past, present and future. Colleges not only want to see how you HAVE put your thoughts in to action in the PRESENT but also how you WILL put your thoughts in to action in the FUTURE. Moreover, colleges want to see how your PAST EXPERIENCES have form your thoughts.

Walking college admissions officers through your thought processes will allow them to understand what kind of student and person you are.
